The Role
The Business Development Manager will lead the company market entry and growth strategy in Cameroon.
The role is responsible for establishing the company brand presence, generating business opportunities from
Cameroonian industries, driving registrations and approvals across plants and industrial facilities, and
building long-term commercial relationships that translate into sustainable revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Market Entry & Brand Establishment
• Lead the company market penetration strategy in Cameroon.
• Represent the company as the primary brand ambassador.
• Build awareness of the company products and services.
• Conduct market intelligence on competitors, pricing trends, regulatory requirements, and
customer needs.
Business Development & Revenue Generation
• Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.
• Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline.
• Achieve agreed revenue targets.
Industrial Registration & Vendor Approvals
• Drive the company registration and prequalification with plants and factories.
• Manage compliance and approval documentation.
• Establish the company as an approved supplier across key industrial accounts.
• Maintain a database of registered plants, approval status, and renewal timelines.
Client & Stakeholder Relationship Management
• Build strong relationships with key decision-makers.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through coordination with internal teams.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
Strategic Partnerships & Networking
• Develop partnerships with distributors and agents.
• Represent the company at industry events.
Reporting & Coordination
• Provide regular reports on sales, registrations, and market insights.
Qualifications, Skills and Competence
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related course
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in business development
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in B2B Sales
• Engineering solutions Industry experience will be an added advantage.
• Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
• Ability to plan, set goals, promote and improve service delivery
• Results-oriented, customer-focused, with a serious commitment to excellence.
• Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
• Independent, resourceful, and able to work under pressure.

Language Requirements
Fluency in French and English is mandatory
