Apave Cameroon is currently recruiting on behalf of CAMALCO CAMEROON S.A., a subsidiary of a major multinational corporation. Based in the Adamawa Region, this large-scale mining project is dedicated to the responsible and sustainable development of bauxite resources. As a project of national strategic importance, it is set to drive local industrialization, job creation, and community development.

Mission

The FINANCIAL ANALYST (M/F) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of accounting and financial reporting for the project.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and compliance of accounting and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly and annual closings, tax returns (DSF), and internal financial reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations, budget monitoring, payroll, and cash calls.
• Respond to audit queries and follow up on implementation of recommendations.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable/receivable records and update the fixed asset register.
• Support internal control and continuous improvement of financial processes.

This position is based in Douala.

Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting or Audit (Master’s level or equivalent).

Experience: More than 8 years’ experience in a renowned audit firm.

Industry Experience: Experience in industrial or manufacturing setup is an asset.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAGE or equivalent.

Attributes: High level of accuracy, autonomy, analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure.

Knowledge: Solid knowledge of OHADA accounting standards, local tax regulations, and internal control principles.

Languages: Strong command of English (written and spoken).
