Roles & Responsibilities

1. A-  Business Development & Client Management

• –  Develop and manage relationships with large corporate clients across key sectors.
• –  Identify new business opportunities to grow deposits, loans, trade finance, and other corporate banking products.
• –  Drive revenue growth through effective cross-selling of UBA products and services.
• –  Ensure high standards of customer service and client satisfaction.

1. B-  Team Leadership & Performance Management

• –  Lead, coach, and supervise Relationship Managers corporate banking.
• –  Set performance targets and monitor team KPIs.
• –  Conduct regular performance reviews and provide empowerment and mentoring.
• –  Foster a high-performance, ethical, and collaborative team culture.

1. C-  Credit & Risk Management
2.   Oversee credit analysis, approval processes and loan monitoring.
3. –  Ensure compliance with UBA credit policies, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite.
4. –  Monitor portfolio quality and proactively manage non-performing exposures.
5. –  Participate in credit committees and provide informed recommendations.

1. D-  Operations & Compliance
• –  Ensure all transactions comply with internal controls, regulatory standards and AML requirements.
• –  Work closely with operations, risk, and compliance teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• –  Ensure accurate and timely reporting of business activities and performance.

1. E-  Strategy & Market Intelligence
• –  Contribute to the corporate banking strategy and business plans.
• –  Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sector developments. Knowledge of UBA organization structure
•  Practical & broad understanding of policies, methods, systems, processes
• –  Career management
• –  Knowledge of Vision platform
• –  Performance management

Knowledge

• –  Strong knowledge of corporate banking products, credit analysis, and risk management.
• –  Good understanding of the Cameroonian banking regulations and OHADA framework.

• –  Sound credit judgment and analytical abilities
• –  Strong communication and presentation skills

• Key Performance Indicator

  • –  Growth in corporate deposits, loan portfolio, revenue and profitability targets
  • –  Portfolio quality (NPL ratio as per UBA policy)
  • –  Client acquisition and retention
  • –  Team performance and productivity

   

   Education Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
  •  

  Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in corporate banking, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
