Qualification/Work Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 5 years work experience, preference for a Masters degree in a scientific or health related discipline. • Experience in managing immunization programs in developing countries. • At least three years of work experience in a field requiring both advanced analytics and exceptional presentation skills. • Proven ability to work collaboratively with government and partner organizations. • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills; including solid mastery of Microsoft Excel and other statistical tools such as R, Stata, or SPSS • Strong analytical and communication (written & verbal) skills, including ability to develop and present presentations and program documents with the highest standards. • Experience in the planning and execution of large-scale projects; including budgeting and activity planning. • Ability to work independently and effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders. • High levels of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet applications. • A structured and assured oral communication style in English and French.

Job Description:

  • Clinton Health Access Initiative, (CHAI) Cameroon is looking for a dynamic, energetic individual with exceptional people skills, to support the efforts to improve immunization coverage, which has been significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. They will provide strategic and technical support to Cameroon Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) to identify districts and health areas requiring support to improve their immunization coverage. They will also identify missed communities and support the development and implementation of strategies to reach these communities effectively and sustainably with immunization and other health services. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and engage with a wide variety of stakeholders, be able to work independently, be flexible and have a strong commitment to work excellence. Responsibilities • Support EPI to strengthen the capacity of regional and district teams to identify and reach “zero-dose” children with immunization and other primary healthcare services. This can include conducting mapping efforts and developing strategies to identify, and sustainably reach missed communities. • Provide technical assistance to the EPI in planning and implementing country specific recovery plans to enhance the resilience of the immunization program to effectively sustain and restore coverage. • Facilitate analysis, monitoring and evaluation of coverage along with documentation of challenges and lessons learned for continuous improvement and program adaptation. • Undertake targeted capacity building initiatives with the aim of building sustainable processes and capability within the EPI, such as building a toolkit for emergency planning for immunization systems. • Take the lead in preparing programmatic reports and other work-related products such as case studies, manuscripts, lessons learnt etc. • Support the Program Manager to develop and manage work plans, budgets, schedules, and logistics plans for key activities. • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders in government, international partners, donors, and NGOs and within CHAI, to support coordination towards achieving the country’s immunization goals. • Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Program Manager.
